two reasons...

From: Lisa Lazar (lazar.bauer@earthlink.net) | Date: 2005-07-29 19:22:38 UTC
Two reasons that even a short hike in flip flops is a bad idea:

1. stinging nettles
2. poison ivy

Ask me how I know.....

I experience stinging nettles for the first time in my
life while LBing in Indiana. I hope to never
expereince them again. We now carry alcohol wipes and
baby wipes for washing it off.

There are usually ferns nearby and rubbing the stinging nettle stings
with the back side of a fern leaf will relieve the sting and itch.
You could also rub it with a banana slug, but,... ew.

The one that I know of is Dock. Interesting, I didn't know that there
were so many things that would work.
